Littoral (Coastline), 40 years of photography at CRP/

The sea is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for artists. On the beach, in industrial or pleasure ports, photography captures the calm of the shores as much as the effervescence of the seaside sites. For the first collaboration of the CRP/ with the City of Le Touquet, the subject of the sea was obvious, as it is so present in the art center’s collections. Martin Parr, Frédéric Cornu, Michel Kempf, Alexandre Christiaens, Marilyn Bridges and many others, have focused on this space where life and landscapes are articulated differently from elsewhere. In this collective exhibition, come and discover a selection of original photographs from the years 1980-1990 that smell of sea spray.
